RBC Foundation Donates $15,000 to Oshawa Community Health Centre Programs

On Friday, May 7, Oshawa Community Health Centre received a welcomed surprise. Paul Thomas, Vice President, Commercial Financial Services, Durham Region & Lindsay, RBC and Travis Capes, Vice President Durham Region RBC and Lavern Mahoney, Account Manager, announced that RBC Foundation was once again going to support the “Good Sense Series”.  This is a series of programs developed and run by Oshawa Community Health Centre that focuses on early intervention to avoid anxiety, conduct disorders and mood disorders in children 0-18 years. The goal is to help educate children, youth and parents on signs of mental health issues, increase awareness and reduce the stigma.

"One out of every five North American children suffers from a mental health problem. Fortunately, early identification, intervention and education can make a real difference in the lives of these children. That’s why RBC supports organizations such as the Oshawa Community Health Centre that deliver children’s mental health programs; because one out of five is one too many “stated Mr. Thomas.

Oshawa Community Health Centre gratefully thanks RBC Foundation for their ongoing support.
